Got a light?

“A thousand candles can be lighted from the flame of one candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness can be spread without diminishing that of yourself.”
— Mahatma Gandhi

A painting, a poem or a photograph are also like this. The best of them can capture the essence of someone, something, or somewhere, share that essence with thousands and not be diminished. Here’s hoping some happiness can be spread through these images and thoughts. A note on my photographs, they are all completely un-retouched, unaltered and exactly as they were recorded by the camera. In the old days of silver film I would proudly print the negative film borders onto my prints to graphically illustrate they were as they came from the camera and had not been altered or even cropped. Now in this digital age this disclaimer will have to serve the same purpose. Still I think Teddy would have approved.
